@HappySqurriel,
If you noticed, when I pointed out that Gamers didn't choose the most powerful system I used games as my reason!
And who wouldn`t buy PS3 for 199$ to play such gorgeousness? =)) AND that is only 2nd year life PS3 games. What will be there in 2009-2012 do you know? =))
gow2 is AWESOME game and came only in 2007 or only after 7 years since PS2 launch. FFXII was also awesome game for many people, came only after 6 years.

How about the people who would rather spend $100 to play games like Dance Dance Revolution, which they actually enjoy playing?

The thing that you (and many Sony fans) don't seem to get is that the majority of game sales are bought because people already owned the system the games were released on. If you have 40 Million gamers who bought one of your "PS3 saving" games in the past, it is likely that less than 10 Million would buy a videogame system to play them again (and most of those gamers will not spend more than $200 on that system).

Most gamers who end up buying a Wii or XBox 360 will buy a worse looking (potentially worse playing) game than buy your system saving PS3 game regardless of how good it looks.
