 I think you understimate the value of having a 250$ launch price. Any console, regardless of specs or games will make a lot of sales if it has a debut price half of it's competitors.

From a relative perspective, the $250 Wii is similar in price difference from the XBox 360 as the $200 Gamecube was to the $300 PS2/XBox ... Price matters, but people won't buy a system because it is cheaper they only buy it because it is a system they want.
