There are around 120 000 000(120 mln.) gamers which bought PS2.
Maybe there 300 000 000 casual non-gamers on the market, which will go for wii, BUT 80 mln. casual gamers is still a LOT.

Sure, but most of those 80 million are going to go to Wii as well, some may get a PS3 or a 360, or a wii and a PS3 or a 360, but their number will be split across those two consoles, hence why neither is going to get much above 40 million
