Prices could heavily drop, a hugely popular new slimline ps3, and it might have a suprisingly long life of 10years (extemely unlikely).
It could even beat the Wii this generation if the old hardware becomes completely outdated early. If the wii sells an average of 15million consoles per year over a life of 5 years=75mil(unlikely but possible), then Ps3 only needs to sell an average of 8mil consoles per year for 10 years.
