aw, how cute. I own it on N64, I got the Gamecube Master Quest disc, the "Zelda Collection" disc with it on it, and I got the 3DS version as well...trust me, I've gotten with the program plenty of times. Even adjusting expectations for its time period and limitations it's disappointing. |
It's all about nostalgia. The first 3D Zelda game. Getting to ride an (at-the-time) realistic horse. Z-targeting. For me the thing I remember most fondly about OoT was the ambience. It set a certain tone and it was just perfect. Nintendo has yet to create another Zelda that works so well in every aspect of the game. Wind Waker was close, but TP, MM, and SS weren't anywhere near that level of perfection.
