Like was stated earlier, if publishers REALLY hated the used game market so much because of how much of their profits were "Stolen" they would have created their own used games trade in system.
I'll tell you why they don't. They're lazy. It's easier to complain about how evil used games sales are, tack on online passes, and try and nickle and dime people than it is to actually create a chain like that. Every single one of these big publishers gives the best exclusive stuff to gamestop. Honestly I'm seeing lots of mixed signals. To be honest, I'd much prefer a scaled pricing system based on the content of the game, rather than an end all price tag. I've avoided buying too many games this generation because frankly I wasn't going to pay 60 dollars for a 3-6 hour campaign. I'm not a fan of online multiplayer unless it's with a group of friends.
Long story short, If you don't like used, buy new. Don't complain about other people doing it, and show how much you love whatever company it is by supporting them right off.
I'm the result of someone exclusively playing Final Fantasy XI from the PS2 release till 2010, and only stopping for small bouts of catch up.
