I think the JSF has been an utter disaster, it's way over budget and far too behind schedule and too much of a one size fits all design.
But the West has committed to it and to turn back now would be even more expensive. No one exactly wants to see $1.5trillion go down the drain. I find it mad this much money has been committed for a strike jet that will only be carrying out strikes against 3rd world countries with rudimentary air defences. If it's in case of a future war against China or Russia, well you're going to need the meagre 187 F-22 for that as the F-35 won't be advanced enough to rout their air defence. They can keep making advances in radar technology to detect stealth (which they can already using radiation detectors) while we are stuck with the the F-35 airframe for the next 30-50 years.
Btw way this link is a load of crap- http://www.mostbeautifull.net/most-advanced-aircraft.html
Only one has been produced (F-22), one is behind schedule (F-35), 2 are still in the prototype stage (J-20 and T-50) and the rest are not even past the design stage so the pictures used are very misleading. For example it uses pictures of the J-20 for the Black Eagle and the Pak FA (T-50) for the Sukoi HAL. And a 4th Gen MiG-29 for the MiG LMFS!
