Well of course I have learned the grammar in school but majority of my vocabulary has come from English media. From games, music, tv shows and movies. Not to mention that majority of internet is englis based... You learn the language a lot easier when you are in contact with it everyday. Here we don't really dub anything. All tv shows and movies are only subtitled. Most of video games don't have even finnish subs...Only english. I would say that because of these reasons majority of Finns (especially under 40) speak pretty good english.
