Wii user base 20 million, 5 third party games that sold +1 mill.
PS3 user base 10 million 4 third party games that sold +1 mill.

lol you see that as a win for the wii ?

And they also care about value and functionality.

Yahh casue you say they are low, sure they don't.

Well, lets see:

Wii sales > PS3 sales. Wii wins there.

Third party games on Wii hitting 1 million + > Third party games on PS3 hitting 1 million. Wii wins there.

Wii attach ratio > PS3 attach ratio. Wii wins there.

So yeah, I see that as a win for the Wii especially when you consider the fact that there aren't that many third party games that deserves to be million sellers right now.

So 20 million wii's with 5 1million sellers, versus 9 million PS3's with 4 1million sellers, well Wii wins there, but compared to userbases it loses by a long shot.

Compared to userbases, it loses by a long shot? WTH are you saying? As I have already stated Wii games ratio > PS3 game ratio. That and the fact that Wii userbase is 2X the userbase of the PS3, it's more safe to release a game on the Wii than the PS3.

But I seem to notice people tend to narrow the arguement when it comes to Wii vs. PS3. First the Wii was a fad, Wii owners will get bored of it. Then it was casual gamers don't buy games so the software side won't be pretty. Then it was third parties don't sell on the Wii. And now its while the Wii has more million third parties sales, it's not that great when you look at the huge userbase as if the large userbase was somehow a negative factor.

P.S.

I have looked at the gaming database and I count 7 million + sellers on the PS3 and 15 million + sellers on the Wii.
