Sorry if this debate has annoyed Viper. It's just that, while I agree that NDA's are necessary and that Nintendo is usually very secretive, having an NDA so strict is harming them now.

I don't want need tech details, but knowing which multiplat games are being ported to ihe WiiU or seeing something (just a small glimpse, 1 image in a printed magazine that shows that it doesn't look worse) could easily prove some rumors wrong and show that 3rd parties are really on board, and they could do that without revealing anything.

And they fully plan on doing just that.  It's E3.  Analysts seem to be forgeting this fact.

And keep in mind that it isn't just Wii u they are being so scretive with, they did this with lots of things.   We didn't even know about NSMB Wii and Donkey Kong Country Returns until the E3 before their launch.  That's unheard of for big games.

Nintendo schedules the dissemination of information better than anyone in the industry.  Analysts don't like that and hang on everything anyone says regardless of how accurate or inaccurate it may be.    Can that be detrimental to Nintendo?  At times, but it also works heavily in their favor.

I agree.

And I suspect this rigid NDA is related to what happened last year when we knew about the tablet controller weeks before E3. They don't want it to happen again!
