-Actually look at HD adoption rates, very low, most people with HD TVs don't have HD service

HD service is low because its just firing up, before now HD service was expensive and you got few channels, now cities broadcast over the air in HD and look at DirectTV and Dish, its all going HD 2008 is the turning point for HDTV's and for the PS3.

 Who said that? 2007 was the turning point for Blu-ray, which leads to your 2008 turning point for the PS3. You might also consider when compared with the 360 the PS3 had a pretty damn good first year.

 Not really it sold less than the 360 did last year, and it sold only a small amount more than the 360's first year

 

As for turning point all last year people were saying PS3 domination would begin after a certain game came out, or something else came out, this year will be the same, with cheaper blu-ray on the way, PS3 won't be helped much
