Would anyone be surprised if they also wanted to kill the selling of videogames so you owned them forever also? If they could replace it with a rental model, where they keep the profits, or pay to play like the arcade model of they past, anyone think they wouldn't do that? Why should I care what publishers want? I care that I get my money's worth from the time and money I spend.
