I was hit once when I was younger while on my bike. I should have been a little more careful I was driving behind car parking spots and one reversed into me. My bike tire took a hit as did the bikes body. But I wasn't harmed at all.. in the end I replaced the tire and the frame wasn't totalled.
Was the guy an elderly man? My bet is he was either an immigrant and older or to old to drive safely. If he was an immigrant hen might not know American laws well enough but that doesn't explain not noticing someone on his hood.
Umm in Canada your supposed to inform the police regardless of injury. I just read an RCMP statement today saying if your hit or hit someone that you need to contact the RCMP and file a complaint. This is so that you can't fake an injury later or blackmail the person. If your the driver it makes sure your held responsible.
If you suddenly do have injuries but never reported it. Would you still be able to sue? How could the authorities know that your injuries were legit.
