My brother and I used to play all our games together since we had one TV and one console. We got Final Fantasy 7 and I started the game when he wasn't in the room. He hated changing the characters names so I named Cloud Voty to piss him off. I think Voty was just nonsense to make the name change even worse.
It's pronounced voe tea.
