http://www.cnn.com/2012/04/11/opinion/granderson-violence-race/index.html?hpt=ju_t3 Was posted on CNN a long time ago. Can't find the original article. As a black person, nothiong disgusts me more than people like those in the video. I'd shoot them all myself if I had authorization/protection from the law. However, if there's any request I can make tothe general American "community" or w"world" community, it's to stop assuming we're all the same, have some kinda "appointred" leaders ala Jesse and Al, etc. The vast majority of child molesters and even the 2 people who shot 5 in Tulsa recently are white but you'll rarely find many black slandering the 1 bln people who consider themselves caucasian because of this. Yet, this is what blacks have to deal with each time one of these pops up. L |
Thanks for the link.
I have to disagree with your last line. When these same racially based videos show in opposite form, you hear the same generalized racist comments towards whites. In fact, its typically more severe and mass produced in the media. Hell, the Zimmerman/Martin case proves that and that case has little no real evidence to anything beyond there was some sort of altercation and martin was shot. Yet, the racial generality and profile has engulfed the nation. Including Black Panthers on national TV asking for Zimmerman's head. I dont' see Fox/CNN allowing KKK to do the same for this group of thugs however.
The fact is, racism breeds racism. There will always exist those who generalize others out of ignorance, or course there are always those that provide proof of those statements. The only thing us sane and normal people can hope for is that we remain the majority. However, I have fears that won't remain that way forever.
