Will PS3 top 100 million?

People are saying that the PS3 has a chance at 100 million because if you compare the PS3 and PS2 on the hardware from launch chart, they follow the same path.

The saturn and PS1 both followed the same path for more then a year, with the saturn ahead, but look how that ended.
