Yeppers on the Simpson's reference.  Matt Groening admitted that the model for Springfield was in Oregon.

 

I hope for Sony's sake that Kaz gets it right. The company has assets, but it has had some issues for years. Ironically, it won its last tech battle (BluRay) when it used to lose them (DAT, Beta, etc.).
