Oyvoyvoyv: The point of the thread was about production... we know the PS2 was supply constrained in all regions, a year after launch (March 2001)... had it launched earlier in America and PAL Sony would have still produced the same number of units... Nintendo has more than doubled the production of the fastest of all previous generations consoles... the only other console produced so fast in the first 13 months is current gen X-360, but that was overproduced unlike PS2 or Wii.
And as someone already stated, production for 2007 is not 14.5 million. The production number for 2007 is 20.1 - 3.2 = 16.9 million.
(assuming I am correct with Nintendo shipping 3.2mil in 2006, which I think I am)
