it did psone games were often at 40$ then 50$ for ps2 games and now you still pay 50$ for most ps3 games but you get 75% of the product the rest need to be bought later via dlc

i paidmore for snes and n64 games (except n64 games from nintendo) than i have to pay nowadays. don't know what i paid for nes games but as example i had to pay 169DM for nagano winter olypmpics which was a bad game^^ 169DM is ~85€

blame the format, cartrige were really expensive

yeah sure but still, thinking about all the costs nowadays for gaming studios, the costs did explode compared to the snes time. and blu-ray as example was super expensive as well the first years.

well this is were dlc come in to maximize the profit, you also get the rerelease like capcom like to do so much and the yearly release that doesn't improve much from previous iterations the majors studios have found a bunch of ways the lower the cost and maximize their profits and those that didn't went out of business but I still expect a price hike for next gen tho

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
