JTurner82 said: His twitter also says: "The way the RE 6/Wii U statement is worded... I'd almost bet money on E3. I'd hope I could bet money on E3. =)" So... let's not jump to conclusions yet. |
Let's hope, because Nintendo will be very angry if RE6 is not on Wii U.
Edit: It's not because of being pessimitic just for the sake of being, but with the confirmation of no Wii U version of Epic Mickey 2 and Tomb Raider the fear of RE6 not on Wii U is well founded.

The Epic Mickey developers allowed room for future Wii U versions. They were getting excited about what the controller could do.

Just like Kojima:
"Wii U is kind of a special case," Kojima said via translator at a press Q&A last week. "The way the player interacts with the device is very different than any other device out there. So if I were to make a game for the Wii U, it would have to be a unique game."
Let's take a look back at 2006:
Hideo Kojima has revealed that he is very interested in working on the Wii.
CVG: What are your impressions of Nintendo Wii and how did Snake appear in Smash Brothers?
Kojima: I’ve played Tennis, Zelda and Mario on Wii. I find Tennis very interesting. I played the early version but the E3 version is far more advanced. As a game designer, I’m very interested in creating something for the Wii. I’d like to run away from MGS 4 creation and create something for the Wii but unfortunately, I don’t have anything that I can announce at the moment. I have lots of ideas for Wii but I have a heavy schedule with MGS 4 and Metal Gear Online. Concerning Snake’s appearance on Wii in Smash Brothers, I’m friends with the designer of the game and I thought it would be nice if you could play as Snake - when I heard about the new game last year, I contacted the designer and we started working together.
Kojima games developed for Wii: 0.
Let's better be honest since know instead of blame developers years later.

You're ignoring the fact that the Wii was a special case. Looking at rumored specs for the Next-Gen the Wii U won't be behind in terms of performance at all. On top of that he never officially said he was going to create something. Either way, I was disappointed by epic mickey, Resident evil series was never my thing. The only disappointment is, if neither title makes it to the Wii U, it might hurt their launch case.
