If you were joking, it wasn't even funny. If you were not ...
Yes, the 360 has a few more complaints, but it's also sold 2x the # of systems
Some systems before it sold at least twice as much and had far fewer complaints.
MS extended the warranty to 1 year, and is replacing launch units for free. That's pretty dang good. Atleast MS didn't make about 3 million Wii Straps defunctional
This one is the most laughable. 1 year warranty is "pretty dang good" ? The crap that MS fanboys can put up with amazes me every day. FYI, 1 year warranty is normal, 2 years warranty is "pretty darn good". But 6 months warranty is crap.
I have totaled atleast 2,000 hours of gaming on my machine. [...] Mostly from Oblivion (which I've put no less than 1000 hours on, if not more)
That's what I call a hardcore gamer. I could never do that. Let me see, 2000 - 1000 = 1000. 1000 / 79 ~ 13.
So you've put on average, 13 hours play on every one of your other 79 games ? A hardcore gamer can do that, but I would never put so much money in each game, to play them just 13 hours. If a game lasts only 13 hours for me, I'd rather sell it and swallow the money I lost.
It has the best library of any system ever made this far into it's lifecycle
This one has to be one of the most laughable statement.
I've been playing games and have owned consoles for the past 15 years from every major H/W maker. Never have I seen a system with such great games
That just shows that you can't learn anything, or have a very poor memory. In japan, where they're far more knowledgeable than you about console and console games, they seem to know better. They seem to have better memory too (then again, that's not the first time I see MS fanboys having selective memory problems), as even me, who is not a hardcore gamer, see clearly that the XB360 has no such great games. Unless you equate console games to shooters. They have a far better "image culture" too, just like I have, which makes them far less overwhelmed by supposedly "great graphics".
Zelda TP is great, Resistance is fine, but by November 2006, the 360 has had a far superior library, and will continue to have improved library titles, even better than either compeditior
You're part of the "the bigger the better" crowd, aren't you ?
In my case, the XB360 library is the inferior one. I'm lucky actually, as it makes the choice far simpler. I love JRPG, so the XB360 is out already. I saw "Enchanted Arms" is crap right from the start of the long video of gaming session that was on the net. I was bored right away, and couldn't stand it for more than 10 minutes. This thing is everything that you can do bad in a RPG (reminded me of Legend of Dragoon, one of my worst RPG experience). Only Blue Dragon could have interest to me, but I don't buy a console for 1 game. Zelda TP is not even a great game for me.
And once it drops its price $100, and introduces a IPTV deal with AT&T, even VG charts bashers won't be able to handle the 360s succuess
More power to XB360 if they drop the price $100. It woudl still be $300 for the interesting system, and that's a lot of money for such an unreliable console. I like to think that the console I bought has most chances to last 5 years at the very least. This is another bad trend launched with the PS1 : making consoles that are so unreliable they won't work correctly after a few years.
