#4 Pittsburgh Penguins VS #5 Philadelphia Flyers

Get ready for the biggest rivalry match this round has to offer as Pennsylvania’s two clubs hopefully continue to bloody and blue each other the way they have done for many years. This series will be almost all about who can score the most goals in the most spectacular fashion. The Penguins have the most goals in the league making 282 (3.43g/game). Pittsburgh has some of the most famous names in Hockey via Sidney no beard and soon to be injured Crosby, this years Art Ross trophy (most points scored) winner Evengi Malkin, 40 goal scorer James Neal and several 20 goal scorers. It is safe to say the red light will be flashing for this team all the time. The winner is hard to predict when Philly has the 3rd most goals in the league 264 (3.22g/game). Philly has countless guys that can score, with the biggest name adding to the rivalry being the ageless Jagr. The long time Penguin who returned this year for more money to join his old team’s bitter nemeses. Clearly the winner of this round we be the better defensive club as there will be goals and punches aplenty. Philly managed to win the regular season 4-2-0 in all fairly high scoring games. For my pick, I am going to go with the team that has won the last two times the teams meet in the playoffs since 2008 and that is the Penguins. They seem to have the slightly better goaltender in Marc-Andre Fluery and have a defense that allowed fewer goals. Rock-em-sock-em time people because this might be ugly and beautiful. Hoping for 7 games and I have no reason not to expect that many.
