#1 New York Rangers VS #8 Ottawa Senators

Looking at the regular season and you will be shocked to see that Ottawa Senators mostly owned the NY Rangers. Seems the talk of fantasy when you look at the youth of the team and the fact that NY was one of the best in the league. The winning factor comes out in that the Senators are fairly high scoring team averaging 3.04 goal per game making for many exciting games. They got several decent offensive players that can score goals in Jason Spezza, Milan Michalek, and Daniel Alfredson. It also helps to have the league’s highest scoring defensemen in Erik Carlson who gives these guys a lot of assists with a total of 59. But this is the playoffs and I do not think they can continue their success. Their goalie Craig Anderson has one of the worst goals against average (2.84gpg) in the league as well as one of the most terrible save percentages in the league. He can save games, as I saw in Colorado, but he is a very hot then cold goalie and he seems to be cold right now with the Senatorsbeing completely frozenthemselves. New York may not have the offensive stars to compare to Ottawa, but they have balanced scoring around their roster and are backed up by one of the best goalies this year in Henry Lundqvist. Quite simply, I think that Lundqvist and their defense will find a way to smack down these young upstarts in Ottawa. And soon the only Canadian team left will be the Vancouver rioters! The rangers should have this in six games!
