Apple is worth more than Coca-Cola, but Coca-Cola is a safer company if you will. A single year can change Apple with bad sales or depreciation of product due to to many different circumstances. Apple's business 'requires' new product after new product and it 'requires' it to catch on. My point is Apple can't sustain without constant flow of rehashing their products and every couple of years a new never before seen product will appear and be risky enough to teater-totter a company for a year or so and if another bad decision leads to another then market cap falls big time. Not that this would likely happen to Apple (who have GRIP on the market) but they're not immune either.
Coca-Cola is maybe the most immune product in all market evaluation. It is the most recognizable brand in the world followed semi-distantly by Nike; plus anyone can afford a can of coke. The Coca-Cola Company has been around for generations and is in the group of least likely to falter due to low sales (This will never happen). Coca-Cola will be around in 100 years, imo that's practically guaranteed. Apple (or any other company comptetitor) probably won't be.
I have no business sense but I think it's pretty common sense to understand that Coca-Cola has a foothold on their market more than any other company in their respected field.
