I'm not sure why the original poster claims the sourced comment to be from 2005. If you actually follow the link, the post was originally made by mterzich on Nov. 27, 2006.
Regardless, the most in-depth, knowledgeable, and dead on description I've ever seen from around that time. That guy certainly knows his stuff.
