No COD and no Metal Gear would certainly hurt WiiU's chances to get gamers back from Sony/Microsoft. That said, Activision regularly released COD games for Nintendo systems. I don't see why this would change overnight.
As for Konami, it's up to Nintendo to create a third-party-friendly environment. If they can do that, WiiU shouldn't be ignored by 3rd parties.
