Currently no one is broadcasting content beyond 720p. (prove me wrong) But there are 1080p bluray movies and a few games running in 1080p I am not talking about over the air broadcast just movies and videogames I believe by 2015 we will start to see the beginning of movies and games taking advantage of 2160p tvs extreme niche with practically no content. I think not. I stick with what I say if you want to enjoy all that content start saving your pennies you guys think what you want to think, I am sticking with what I believe.

I've watched a few programmes on freeview HD that are 1080p, though the vast majority are 720 their are several that are in 1080p/i, especially wildlife programmes.
