If I am correct this can only crossfire with low end 6series. Also amd is working on an updated apu that works with 7series gpu.

The hardware described is what will be aimed for. The actual processors will be "modified" for a dedicated gaming console. When they say a 7670 will be in the PS4, they don't mean that actual card will be in it, instead it will be a gpu derived from it.
