Congratulations to all.
Since I am killing time, let me tell you about my barely relevant hands on with the Vita.
IT was about two weeks ago in Vienna, SCS in some elec ... Saturn, that's right. I searched for and found a Vita booth thing, but I only handled it for 3 minutes.
I have big hands, but did not have any problem finding and pressing the face buttons. The D-pad didn't feel too good, but I didn't use it for any gaming, but it just felt loose.
The analog sticks have very limited travel. The trigger buttons are neutral I guess, not good or bad.
I started up Motorstorm RC, and the first thing that hit me was the smallness of everything. I haven't played a handheld in a loong time. After a few tries, I got to drive the small car, and it took about 40 seconds for the sticks to feel good and for my control of the car to not be chaotic. Very positive. And the handling of the car felt good too. Just like good old Death Rally, but seen slightly from the side and with jumps.
The I quickly tried Stardust. I don't think that tapping on the Screen for missiles is a good idea as you have to let go of a stick and tap, but I presume the controls can be configured. The other impression: everything was small.
There was no Uncharted or Unit 13, so I could not get a feel for the sticks in 3rd person shooting.
Even so, the positive experience with Motorstorm RC, in which I went from slight confusion to somewhat enjoyable and fine control of the RC car with two analog sticks in under one minute was impressive.
Good sticks Sony.
