5. doesn't explain as example that 32% of us americans are against interracial marriage. 32% are against it that a black and a white will marry, sure this isn't racism because this is 32% in usa (20% in germany is horrible as well). but if a satirist uses this blackface shit and says he's an obama (because obama is extremely popular here and everyone loves him), yes THIS is racism. you know what funny is? if someone would use a black face and color it white you would still say it's racism, but not against the whit, still against the black because you color a black face white right? so you can fo it both ways and you would think it's racism... btw are those little kids racists because they put color in the face at the "3 kings day" and go from hosue to house in whole germany?

i will really stop this now, makes no sense to talk with someone who has all his experiences from a few internet sites but NO clue about the situation in he country he's talking about. i have to admit i was only one time in usa because my brother lives there a few years (german soldier) so at least i have someone who can talk to me with his experiences but i don't say "you are so racist because i read it on this or that site" i did not even talk about the black who got killed in usa few days ago you did that by yourself and all the survey crab i was talking about was to show that i could find some things as well who says something like "many americans have to be racist if 32% are against interracial marriage" it's not what i think it's just to show that i could find things like that and if i wouzld search i could show hundred more survery saying usa is sooo racist. |
1) Satire doesn't give you a blank slate to be racist. Though sure, explain to black people why black people shouldn't be offended by it. That'll go over real well. Also, I don't think you really understand what satire is.
Because if you did think that particular case was satire, you would have to think that blackface, and the blackface of the children was in fact racist.
2) You really think every person from the ethnic minority group is someone who can't speak english and has a crap job? So if I go to Germany today, there aren't well spokem muslims that have been there for generations? Or well spoken people from any other group.
Perhaps this is another cultural "snafu" but that was the same excuse often used in America way back when to explain away why perfectly qualfied "well spoken" black people weren't getting into government or getting good jobs.
3) Not many, but a lot VOTE for people who from their ethnic group.
4) They're often there for the same reason hispanic people or pacific Islanders are represented here, they actually outperform their voting percentages.

Also, no, I wouldn't call those kids racist, i'd call there parents ignorant for not having better common sense. Though yeah, kids do say racist things. Hell, I said something racist in like the 1st grade or so that i'd picked up from an uncle. My parents however were smart enough to set me straight pretty damn quickly.
Blackface is racist because minstral shows. Which were shows most common in the US but happened pretty much everyone in the US and Europe in which white people painetd their face black and acted like black people in EXTREMLY sterotypical and hurtful ways. People who are ofended by blackface are offended because they know a thing or two about history.
If there was a case of other races did that about white people, you'd have a point, however that doesn't really happen, and there really aren't even any negative white people stereotypes out there because White people are more or less the cultural norm in American and Europeon society.
