LMAO as of now the 3DS has been unaffected.  The sells of last generation hasnt went down, Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario Land 3D has sold over 5 million each, etc etc.  Like i Said success rate on IOS devices are extremely small.  You might want to learn what you are talking about before talking like you know anything.  The only way I will reply to you again is if you bring forth successful games on IOS devices besides Angry Birds, the new drawing game, doodle jump, and Inifinity Blade.  That's four out of a million.  Pretty low number, but yeah actually talk about successful games.  In the mean time Nintendo is sitting out tons, and same goes to sony

Calm down.

Total revenue generated. Growth rates in revenue. Growth in volume of developer support. You're comparing an ecosystem that Nintendo's been maintaining for over 20 years in the portable space with one Apple just invented less than 4 years ago.

You understand it was the sheer volume of games on the DS that played a large part in its success, right? Much of which was hey; crappy games. Kind of like the ones that go for $.99 these days. It wasn't just Mario Kart, Super Mario Land, etc. even though those titles will always sell in the millions.

And for the record, there are no mobile IPs like Nintendo's. I wouldn't have even bothered to bring up Angry Birds since it was the rare exception among mobile games that Roxio turned into one of the most exposed, but none of that matters. As long as the games are "good enough" whether that's to kill 15 minutes at a time, or keep children placated while eating out, that's all that matters to most.

You pretty much called it yourself by saying "only four out of a million" while focusing on the four when the million is the number that really counts.

You're probably not as smart as you think you are that's probably because you're thinking with your heart, not your head.
