Just like many others I think my demand for quality has increased a lot this gen. If a game is just a little bit boring then I just can't keep playing it and just think "I could have played a better game or done some work instead of wasting my time here" to myself. Last gen I could play pretty much any game as long as I was able to make progress.
As for my prefered genres, they've pretty much stayed the same except maybe less interest for RPG's and more interest for cinematic games like Dead Space and Metro 2033.
