Double win. The 360 would be 7 years old so fans cant complain MS abandoned it and it could still easily sell afterwards like the PS2 does now. And secondly you get a year head start on PS4.

I thought MS actually had it all together until now. Releasing same holiday as PS4 is bad news, Japan alone will give Sony an early lead.

Why would they? The Kinect release alone gave them enough of a reason to keep supporting the XBox 360.
Sales in America are as strong as ever and that is the biggets gaming market.

Right now Microsofts focus is getting people to know about Kinect since it will play a huge role in the next generation from Day 1.

I think the profit they are getting now wont be worth it to miss out on profits next gen. Releasing same holiday as PS4 means they gotta work that much harder to stay ahead. With Europe and Japan in Sonys favour, they better think of something.
