It's possible for a game to be made to run 8 million pixels remember a game like that can still run on a 1080p television so a game developer is not short changing themselves but a developer would still make the game run in that resolution if you had a tv capable of 2160p.

Think about it wouldn't you want your next-gen games to be able to run 2160p if you had a 2160p tv.

I think 2160p compatible games will be on the market by 2015 2016 just three years into the next-gen like I said before get ready for the eye candy.

By the way the first 2160p tvs will be hitting the market in either 2013 or 2014. Start saving your pennies, LOL.

There is no market for 2160p TV's.   What content will be provided for them?  Just the PS4?   There is no 2160p broadcasting coming online in 3-4 years, there are no 2160p movie mediums in development for the next 3-4 years.....

You don't just make a 2160p capable TV for no reason when content for that resolution doesn't and won't exist for another decade or two.  Will some 2160p panels exist on the market in a few years?  Sure, but they will be extremely niche with practically no content.

We went for decades between color broadcasting and HD broadcasting.   Expecting the industries to spent another trillion dollars to upgrade all their equipment and software to handle 2160p just a few years after already spending a trillion dollars to upgrade everything to HD is nuts.

The rEVOLution is not being televised
