Regardless, "impale" wasn't in my vocabulary, so I didn't know what to think of the image in question.

Not only that, but I doubt that anyone would make the connection who didn't also know about the historical/legendary title referred to.

I know the history (after all, it was his nickname for what he did) and the fact that in spanish "impaler" is "empalador", quite similar, made is easier to understand.

@Rol_ Just for curiosity, how is "impaler" in german? Is it that different that you didn't recognize or guess the word?
