Here's the thing. BMW drivers that switch to Mercedes are disappointed by the drive experience. Mercedes drivers that switch to BMW are equally disappointed by the drive experience. The two cars, though occupying the same market space handle differently and people like what they are used to.
It's the same with consoles. If you are familiar with 360 you'll be disappointed with PS3 and vica versa. You got the 360 first so are disappointed with PS3...I got PS3 first and am disappointed with 360.
The truth is though, there isn't really a hair's breadth between them.
