I think there is a couple of much bigger problems with this game.
1.) No crash mode. That's a shame, but it is forgivable (Burnout 2 probably still has the best crash mode anyway - adding multipliers was a definite mistake.)
2.) NO SPLIT-SCREEN MULTIPLAYER!!!! That really sucks. Playing against people online is okay, but it can't compare to playing road rage against real-life friends that are actually within mocking distance. That really ruins the experience as far as I'm concerned. That said, Burnout Paradise is better than the last couple of entries to the franchise, and it's probably still the best arcade-racer series out there.
