I don't really see the point if it is true. It doesn't seem to be cost effective. A PC game which is ported to the Xbox 360 and now ported over to PS3. How old will this game be by then? It took about a year after the PC release for the Xbox 360 release. I just don't see it selling enought to justify the cost involved in porting it over.

However, it will be good for people who only have the PS3. Hopefully, if it does happening, it will sell enough to produce a nice profit.

Costs for PS3 port could be lower now than if they did it earlier for two reasons, PS3 dev kits and tools should be more optimised as time goes by, and having ported it to XB360 they must already had rewritten the parts of code that imply large memory allocation to fit in consoles smaller memory. OTOH, if they'll develop customiized libraries to make better use of SPEs, this could instead increase costs, while if they'l use standard libraries included with the kits, there shouldn't be significant additional costs on this front. Anyway nimbler studios like CD Projekt don't need huge sales to repay even consoles exclusives, let alone ports, look at all those niche japanese games that are profitable with just a few hundreds thousand copies sold. They must resist the temptation of bloating, but they definitely can afford hiring a few more devs if this will let them significantly widen ther user base.
BTW they announced the Enhanced Edition for PC, that will be launched simultaneously with the XB360 version (I guess the latter will include every patch and enhancement of the former except PC specific ones and DRM removal), this will create a nice synergy, as PC version will indirectly benefit from the advertising of the other, and both will benefit from increased overall shelf space and visibility.
A later PS3 port won't obviously be as big, but given the fame this game is earning, it shouldn't do too poorly.
