Have you looked at the sales? Monster Hunter Tri G already outsold Monster Hunter Tri in Japan, the only country where it is available. The brand has certainly become stronger on Nintendo platforms. But if you are refering solely to Monster Hunter 4... well, how can you be sure that it will sell less? If an enhanced port of Tri is already looking like it can move two million copies in Japan alone, then what's an actual sequel going to do? Not to mention worldwide sales where Nintendo will lend Capcom a hand to strengthen the brand. Capcom undoubtedly wants to turn Monster Hunter into a global success and if that goal is easier attainable by partnering with Nintendo and making the game exclusive to the 3DS, then that would be a good explanation why the Vita won't get Monster Hunter. |
Do you do that purposely?
The brand has gotten stronger for one game for one company. PSP MH3 will reach 5M, beating all nintendo mh sales combined, which is, we'll say 4m.
Strengthening the brand means it will have higher total sales WW, not just higher sales on one system compared to another.
