Hey guys, what I don't understand is: Why do you buy games you're not planning to play soon. I know in the holiday season there are a lot of good games coming out, but I'd rather wait till I actually have time to play them. The might be even cheaper at that point.

Like Runa, I like buying games when they are cheaper and I'm also a collector. There's rarely a game that I buy at retail for full price (Tales of Graces F was the last one, but before that, I don't remember the last one I bought myself), so I usually wait until they go on sale somewhere. For example, FFXIII-2 will be on sale for $30 for a week starting Sunday, but there's a coupon in this month's Best Buy @gamer magazine that gives an extra $15 off (it expires April 7, so you have another week to buy the game), so you're essentially getting a game that came out two months ago for $15.

The only times I will buy retail games for full price are if I'm highly anticipating it, or if I get it as a present, or if it's part of a promotion (like buy one get one free).
