Do you really think the PS4 would have games at launch that would be so different from WiiU Nextbox games that would make people want to drop $600 on the system??, really??. If coming off the success of the PS2, with the promise of having FF13, MGS4 etc didn't help the PS3 at that price i dont think it would help the PS4, not with the foothold MS now own in consoles. And like i said if that was the case about Graphics etc then PC would be the number one to own hardware for games players, as it has pretty much every 3rd party game and they all look alot better, and it has exclusives that's just not possible on consoles.

If sony wants to win the next gen they have to launch with a price point of $300/350, and have some big names at the get go, and i'd even make a bet on it. Both Nintendo and MS have really hurt Sony this gen. And launching with the best GFX is not going to help them if they launch with a price of $500/600, even if they have some good games, the whole econamy is hurting right now. like i said they need to launch with a price of $300/350 and have some good games to go along with it, if they don't they will finish 3rd for a 2nd gen in a row.

I am sorry, but if you think Sony would win anything with a $350 you are insane. I don´t even think Nintendo would be able to launch a 2013 console for that price and win the generation, and Nintendo has the Marios of the world, meaning games that sell regardless of hardware.

One of the big reasons, GT, Uncharted, God of War, Killzone sell is because they are impressive performing games, they are more then just fun to play.

It is not that difficult to understand. Nintendo - Mascots, Ms - Kinect, Sony - Impressive looking/performing software

If Sony drops the ball and makes a console with similar performance as MS, I am telling you right now, Sony will get manhandled by Kinect 2.0, and first party studios will not be able to push the console because MS will have similar hardware to work with.

I still don´t think you understand that an U4 game running on a $350 hardware machine would not impress anybody but you (apparently) in the year 2013 (that is the selling point of Sony machines), unless as I said before, they invent a new gimmick or LBP (apparently they are pushing it with the karting game) goes Boom.

Sony needs the hardware to differentiate themselves (you can hate the fact that they depend so much on it, but banking on a cheap console would be a 100x bigger gamble for Sony then going with a power hungrier machine, of course not going over the top).
