I'll probably still buy it. I know I've had zero issues with Civ5 that has the same type of rule. I just think too many people cry about too many things.

This anti-piracy solution is far better than a rootkit. Granted, I think the key code was just fine and more than enough to limit piracy to only the worst offenders.

Everyone have different standards. It's my choice to not allow them to push stupid restriction on me. It's a single player game, not MMO.

It requires steam connection which means online.

I don't think it requires always-on connection, though.

I'll give it a try later. Hadn't played it for quite sometime.

You only need to be online for the initial installation, then it works in off-line mode too.
Civ and SimCity are perfect for long flights. I guess not the new sim city.
