Yes, but they were included in a way most similar to Mario Kart 7. Sony easily could have made them weapons, or methods of cornering better/differently, but noo...they had to make it like MK7.

modnation had air tricks and it came out before mk7 and seeing as how this game builds upon modanation i'd expect the air tricks came from that as opposed to mk7

the game hasn't been announced yet and furthermore if the rumours are true how does it automatically become a clone?

What other game uses IP's from their franchise in a Smash em up title? Capcom always faces someone else (Marvel or whatnot) and everything I hear about this game seems like a Smash Bros immitation. Only time will tell, but I felt it's worth noting this game


... i find it funny though how when mk7 was shown to have kart customisation no one said that they may have gotten the idea from modnation, but i guess thats how things work as nintendo is apparently the only company to come up with anything

Again, Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Kart Wii beat Mod Nation Racers to this. However the way LBP is doing it, I would say is different enough to be unique. Just the gameplay....damnrip off from the video in the OP if you ask me.

Really....now Mario Kart's status is being questioned by Crash Team and LBP? What? What? What? Makes no sense, you people need to play more then just Sony games.

whose physics look similar to arcade racing games that came before it...

no... they are implemented in the same way they were in lbp which came before mk7... which must mean that mk copied them from lbp right?

mk wii was the first racing game with air tricks? are you really saying that?

all fighting games use the company's characters, for example, street fighter from capcom uses capcom characters such as ryu and chun li...

neither had kart customisation ( as far as i know ) but they allowed you to choose different karts for characters, which is obviously not the same thing...

so far you've said its a rip off because of the physics, lasos  and airtricks...

lasos were in lbp before mario kart, airtricks have been in racing games for years now and finally mario kart uses arcade style physics that resemble older arcade racing games...

personally i find this deeply offensive i have indeed played all of the mario karts besides mk7 and i do believe that modnation and ctr were more fun...

thats not because they were from sony but simply because they were more fun for me...

however if you disagree and mk is indeed better for you thats fucking awesome but it doesn't in anyway mean that i have to share your view
