That seems more like a unique twist off Nintendo's Idea.

???

what idea? Nintendo has never made a new game genre anything like "Play, Create, Share" for you to say that..

This is the one part where I think LBP Kart is unique. The rest is a rip off.

basically you just low-key tried to say that Sony copied Nintendo with their "Play,Create,Share" genre -_-

Words in my mouth, I was commenting on the overall structure of the game. Laso's, Kart size and physics, battle mode, etc.

but what Nintendo "idea" are you talking about though?

Answered in other post

i'm curious..

I mean just look at the video, doesn't it look like Mario Kart 7?

uhh no, it looks like "Little Big Planet Karting"

Not to me

i mean maybe it does when you see characters riding on karts and racing. I mean that IS what you do in a KART RACING game lmao

Does Sony have to use an engine this similar to Mario Kart, with dash corners, laso's and even the kart size and physics?

and by this logic i can also say that it looks like chocobo racing, Bomberman Fantasy Race, Diddy Kong Racing, MegaMan Battle & Chase and every other kart game that has ever been created ;)

Never played half of those, so I wouldn't know. However don't you race Chocobo's in Chocobo Racing? Do all those games have boost turns and jump extendors? Diddy Kong was different from MK64 by having planes and hovercrafts, an adventure mode, and overall very different level and item design.

so what is the significance in trying to single everything else out and trying to focus on it "looking" like Mario Kart 7 specifically?

Already responded in other post.

Just with this and the upcoming Smash Brothers clone, it seems Sony is trying to expand their library by copying Nintendo

lol Sony make a Kart game and now they are trying to expand their library by copying Nintendo? LMAO

Sony had kart games on their consoles BEFORE LBPKarting was announced my good sir ;)

Yes, and you're point> Mario Kart is still the oldest.

and i honestly HOPE the Sony fighting game is like Smash bros . If Sony somehow manages to make a better game than smash bros then it will make Smash Bros a better game in the end because Nintendo will of ccourse try to outdue the Sony smah bros game with their smash bros release

Competition is great, I agree. With a Kart game, you likely won't see much of a quality change because of the demograph, but Smash Bros has a bigger hardcore base (by % I assume), so if the PS3 Smash compeditor is good, Nintendo will up their game.

Also while I'm not a fan of CTR (It's like Mario Kart/Diddy Kong Racing with shortcuts (which suck)

somebody PLEASE tell me that this guy did not just try to criticise CTR for having shortcuts LMFAO!!

...The worst maps in Mario Kart are the ones with major shortcuts. Why race on the track if everyone is going to try to use them? What makes Crash even worse is most shortcuts can be reached without the use of special items. Makes the map design feel poor if you ask me.

CTR is BETTER than both Mario Kart 64 AND Diddy Kong racing

Everyone has an opinion, but 30+ million people seem to think Mario Kart Wii is the best

Mario Kart 64 AND Diddy Kong racing both had shortcuts but of course you just want to single out CTR for some strange reason for it having shortcuts though LMAO

Worst Maps in MK64, and generally points of bad level design (rainbow road) or item requirements (Koopa Beach). Diddy Kong shortcuts were nowhere nearly as major as Crash, and depended on the vehicle you raced in.

so you REALLY shouldnt be a fan of them aswell going by that..

hmm would the game being made by Sony have something to do with it? ;)

I like many Sony games, however just the unique ones like Uncharted and InFamous.

is it safe to say that i think i have you figured out now or would i be jumping the gun?

and WHO THE HELL doesn't like shortcuts in a racing game anyways? lol

Who does? Really? seriously?

and less imaginative track designs (both physical and artistic)

i would argue that CTR's tracks are more imaginative artistically AND physically

the tracks are more well put together than the tracks in Mario Kart 64 and Diddy Kong racing

they also have more detail and look better aswell despite 64 having better graphics than ps1

;)

The track in the video was a temple and forest, it's texture lacking and balnd....however I will agree for the technical limitation CTR is pretty awesome, but MK64 was an early N64 game, and CTR came out near the end of PS1's life.

I think Sony should bring a more serious kart racer on the table instead of two....easy ones (I think Mario Kart has been too dumbed down lately too)

all they have to do is make this game like CTR and it will be a BEAST ass game

would be better then an MK clone. However I think DKR and old MK's are better. Mario Kart DS is probably the best Kart game ever, really amazing level design.

This is the one part where I think LBP Kart is unique. The rest is a rip off.

what does this have to do with what i just asked? i asked "what idea?"

you said--> "That seems more like a unique twist off Nintendo's Idea." then i asked "what idea?"

and then you respond with --> "This is the one part where I think LBP Kart is unique. The rest is a rip off."

ok you tried to dodge the question on the sly so let me ask you again more clearly

WHAT NINTENDO IDEA DID SONY MAKE A UNIQUE TWIST OFF OF TO MAKE THE PLAY,CREATE,SHARE GENRE?

Words in my mouth, I was commenting on the overall structure of the game. Laso's, Kart size and physics, battle mode, etc

uh no you wern't Mr Micheal-5 ;) it is right there as clear as day

i said --> "the play, create, share genre says hello to this " and then you replied with --> "That seems more like a unique twist off Nintendo's Idea."<-- yea you definitely tried to say that Sony copied Nintendo with their "Play,Create,Share" here

now you are backtracking =D

"Does Sony have to use an engine this similar to Mario Kart

oh so you dont want Sony to use a "similar" engine as the Mario Kart engine? well being that its a kart game i cant imagine how differnt an engine could be from another kart game

with dash corners

wtf is a "dash corner"? i played many kart games and i never heard of a "dash corner" before. do you mean the little manual speed boosts??

laso's

oh so you dont want Sony to have "laso's" in Little Big Planet Karting because they are in Mario Kart 7? wait but Laso's were already known for being in Little big Planet so what are you talking about?

and even the kart size

oh so you dont want Sony to use the same Kart "size" as the 1s in Mario Kart 7? LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO

ok if you want to be serious about it then i guess you should know that Mario is like damn near 10 times bigger than sackboy so if sackboy and Mario got in comfortable fitting Karts respectively, how the hell could they be the same size?

i think i hear some scratching at the bottom of a barrel ;)

and physics?"

oh so you dont want LBPK to have similar "physics"? hmm okay i'm going to need you to elaborate on exactly what you mean by this and i want to see some comparing please

However don't you race Chocobo's in Chocobo Racing?

yea, i was going to just say CTR but i just threw in something different instead just for the hell of it =P

Do all those games have boost turns and jump extendors?

yes they do my good sir

Diddy Kong was different from MK64 by having planes and hovercrafts, an adventure mode, and overall very different level and item design

Diddy Kong racing was also better than Mario Kart 64..

"Yes, and you're point> Mario Kart is still the oldest."

what does mario kart being the "oldest" have to do with what you said?

you said --> "Just with this and the upcoming Smash Brothers clone, it seems Sony is trying to expand their library by copying Nintendo"

and you were refering to the 2012 non released Little Big Planet Karting game when you said "this" so what the hell does Mario Kart being the "oldest" have to do with Sony making other Kart games before LBK?

you said that Sony is "copying" nintendo with this new 2012 LBK game and the smash bros clone..

ok, you lost me..

...The worst maps in Mario Kart are the ones with major shortcuts.

blame Nintendo instead of CTR for that, smart guy

Why race on the track if everyone is going to try to use them?

to win maybe? DERP

What makes Crash even worse is most shortcuts can be reached without the use of special items.

so you think that most of the shortcuts should be non reachable without the use of special items?

Makes the map design feel poor if you ask me.

when a shortcut makes a map worse(what you claimed for Mario Kart) i would say THAT makes the design feel poor if you ask me ;)

Everyone has an opinion, but 30+ million people seem to think Mario Kart Wii is the best

Mario Kart 64 sold 9.8 mill and Diddy Kong Racing sold 4.88 mill so i dont know what the hell MKWii has to do with MK64 and DKR

you lost me on this 1 aswell -_-

Diddy Kong shortcuts were nowhere nearly as major as Crash, and depended on the vehicle you raced in

and thats why CTR is better ;) it isnt just 1 straight boring path each time you race EVERY SINGLE TIME. CTR implemented shortcuts a hell of a lot better than DKR and MK64

unique and hidden shortcuts just adds that much more to the experience ;)

"Who does? Really? seriously?"

EVERYBODY!! this is the 1st time in my life i've EVER witnessed somebody actually trying to complain that shortcuts are bad in a kart racing game LMAO

The track in the video was a temple and forest, it's texture lacking and balnd....

you mean bland? lol they still loooked better than MK64 and DK64 though ;)

but MK64 was an early N64 game, and CTR came out near the end of PS1's life

yea that makes a difference because everybody knows that Nintendo sets limits to its hardware near the beginning of a generation (sarcasm)

Nintendo still had the more powerful hardware(ps1 was 32 bit while N64 was 64 bit) ps1 had the superior game on inferior hardware

there is no excuse

N64 was 2 years newer than ps1, sorry ;)

would be better then an MK clone.

you damn right it would! its already confirmed that it will be more like CTR

However I think DKR and old MK's are better

i highly disagree ;)

Mario Kart DS is probably the best Kart game ever, really amazing level design

yea its a good game but its missing stuff that Diddy Kong racing and CTR had so of course i also highly disagree with this aswell
