If you're considering buying a $1,000 PC, I'd say get both a 4GB 360 and a PS3. Then you can play anything you like, and a PS360 cost $380 + tax, you can save that $600 for a Wii U, or a PC when you get bored of your PS360 (by then the $1,000 PC you build now would be $500 or less).

Only thing is I like me some RTS/TBS... :(

Are you buying a $1,000 Tower or laptop? Building from scratch or getting pre-built? You can get really awesome towers that can play games on high or max settings for $600 or so if you build from scratch. I was thinking of building a new Tower as mine in literally 10 years old, and I can build one, from scratch, for $350, and it's significantly more powerful then PS3/360.

You could have it all for $1,000 if you spend your money wisely, and is your PC that bad? Can't you just upgrade it?

Tower meaning stationary? Mine is about 6-8 years old... My brother told me that he isn't too sure if I can upgrade this one actually... But yeah, if I'm getting a tower (stationary) I'll build it myself (or rather; my brother's gonna build it ;)). How come you can build a good tower for $350?! We looked at this one: http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=742450 The site is in swedish but you can see what parts it's made up of. In UDS it would kost 992...

I swing both ways regarding RTS/TBS: I love Civ and EU3!
