And this is what they said in August:

http://www.videogamer.com/wiiu/darksiders_2/news/darksiders_dev_praises_power_of_wii_u.html

"Asked if Darksiders II will be best on Wii U, Adams said: "Yeah, just because the hardware is more powerful and it will have some extra features that I think will actually be useful to people playing the game. With it's controller, [the Wii U version of Darksiders II] might be the best version of the game."

On another note, imo going the "Sony route" is dumb. They were lucky with the PS2, but this time it has been more a problem than an asset.

Marvin and Adams need to sit down together in order to make similar statements. Its great PR having different employees say something and completely backtrack a few months later.  No one will take you seriously if you contentiously contradict yourself.

Truth be told, David Adams is the General manager of Vigil (so nothing to do with development) while Marvin Donald is the director of the game. So Donald probably knows more about it.

Actually, Donald's comment that they have not done anything on the WiiU to "Rez" up the game would appear to support Adams' statement. That the WiiU is more powerful.

That being said, programming makes a big different. Look at NFS: Hot Pursuit 2. The PS2 was vastly superior to the GC and Xbox visions, even though it was the least powerful machine of the three.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
