Actually, Donald's comment that they have not done anything on the WiiU to "Rez" up the game would appear to support Adams' statement. That the WiiU is more powerful.
That being said, programming makes a big different. Look at NFS: Hot Pursuit 2. The PS2 was vastly superior to the GC and Xbox visions, even though it was the least powerful machine of the three.
