Hi Gilga.

I love Android and was actually pretty pissed off when it finally came to Verizon three years ago. Why? Because two months prior I had upgraded my regular old Moto Razr flip phone for a craptastic BlackBerry Curve 8330. Got two for $50 for the wife and I and then a month later I started seeing Droid commercials. I was pissed. I had always wanted an iPhone or Android, but Verizon didn't have either one. So I gave up and went to BB since everyone else suck far worse.

Well, 10 months later (I have 5 lines so there is only a relatively short gap between upgrades) I then went out and took advantage of Best Buy's free phone friday's during October of 2010 and scored two Samsung Fascinates.

This is when the world opened to me and I saw the shadow of God.

The phones were fantastic in almost every way. In fact, had Samsung made two considerable changes, they would have been perfect. One the GPS sucked on that device due to Sammy being stupid with their component manufacturer and second, their lag-tastic Touchwhiz software really brought in the issues and took forever for it to receive updates.

However, being a software engineer I took matters into my own hands. I read tons of stuff on XDA-Developers forums and rooted that bitch in no time. Oh she was feisty, but I put the smack down and forced her into positions she never knew existed. Very quickly I was able to get a very stable GPS and a clean simplistic rom that just made her scream with passion.

With that in hand, I still wanted a 'perfect' Android experience. In reality that can only be gained (as far as stock goes) with a Nexus device. i.e., a device that has not fucked up shit added by the OEMs. Pure Google love. So, even though I had upgrades available by June 2011, I waited for either a phone that was clearly superior to my tricked out sexy bitch or an unicorn rumor of a Nexus device on Verizon. Well, a few months later and my new fuck bot was announced... Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon.

This is when I saw God's full glory.

Soon after the GNex was released I used an upgrade to buy an iPhone 4s for $200. :O ..... sold it on Ebay for $650, paid $200 to Verizon and bought a used Gnex on Ebay for $450. Sold my old Fassy for $120 on Craigslist and paid fees and such to Ebay/Paypal/Shipping and BAM, I ended up paying about $10 for a nearly new Gnex while all the other suckers at the time were bending over and letting Verizon take it to their corn-holes for $300 a pop. F THAT.

I have yet to pay more than $50 for phone in my entire life and I've had cell phones for the last 18years.

This phone is perfect. 4G when I need it (I easily turn it off an on to keep battery life normal), great GPS, great OS in every way... so much customization, easy menu system, Chrome browser, OM-FUCKING-G is this a great feeling.

I haven't even rooted it yet or anything. Simply don't need to. It actually works as intended.

Now that I have a true dev phone, I have considered moving heavily into Android development...but I think I'll stick with my continued efforts in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and javascript for now. After all, a properly built website will look great on any phone... that isn't crapBerry... fucking hate crapBerry.... more than Apple. Yeah, that much.
