...parents...

Explain the story!

- Repeatedly asked if I was gay (I'm not)
- Every time a cartoon came on, no matter how small ages it was aimed at, they would call me and say, "Are you watching this?"
- Told me I needed to stop liking it if I wanted to be accepted by others

None of those are so terrible, it's just their attitude towards me completely changed after I brought it up.

That's why you ease them into it by continuing to watch Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon through your adolescence and into adulthood (while expanding your repetoire to shows better-targeted at your demographic). Worked well enough for me, and neither my parents nor my aunt, uncle, or cousins batted an eye when i came out as a brony this past Thanksgiving.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
