I'm pretty sure people won't mug you with your Vita just because they know you have a Vita. No one's going to track you down just because they know you have a Vita.
Your just as likely to be Vita-jacked as you are being phone-jacked by walking down the steet.
I can see why people don't want their location to be traced though.
