Jay520 said: As the title implies, I will be fighting a fat guy in three days (Saturday). Don't try to talk me out of it, it's definitely happening. I have to fight him for my honor. So, here's some facts. The guy is about my height, maybe an inch taller, and he's like one-hundred pounds heavier than me. I'm pretty sure he has bad cardio, he doesn't do sports or anything besides lifting weights. He does play basketball occasionally, so he at least can last a few minutes before being exhausted. I, on the other, run track and in much better shape and I'm pretty sure I'm faster. Other than the occasional push-up/sit-up/pull-up etc session, I don't do much muscular training so he probably has a muscular advantage. So, do you guys have any advice on how to approach this guy? I was think I would start off dancing around him, throwing a few jabs, not really trying anything. This is just to get him tired because I know I can last longer than him. After that, I go in for actual punches. I'm not going to stay in his distance too long though because he could use his superior strength to grapple with me. After he's really tired, then I'll go in for the power punches and hopefully end the fight right there. What do you guys think about this strategy? Anyone know a weak spot for fat guys? Of course, you go for the face, but I don't wanna get too predictable. I was thinking about striking his solar plexus to confuse him before going with the face shots. Any more weak spots? For the next three days, I'll be eating a lot of protein and watching some UFC so I can tone my mind/body for the intesities. Anyone have any dietary advice? Any more advice? I'll check back here Saturday to let you know how the fight went. Thanks |
1 question is he fat and fluffy or fat-BIG?? there is A LOT of difference there. As you put it, it is the second case, because he goes to the gym, and might have a good cardio. If he doesnt do much of aerobic exercise, dont under-estimate him, because if he grabs and to hits you, is game over, unless you have and outstanding endurance recieving punches in the face.

He's not fluffy...but he's not particularly muscular either. If you saw him yourself, you wouldn't think he lifted wieghts. And I know he has poor cardio, I've seen him run. The only aerobic exercise he does is basketball but not very intensely, just enough so that he could last for a while without dying from exhaustion.
